大甲牧場和日光牧場Dajia Ranch and Sunlight Ranch

大甲區的南、北方，各有一座養殖乳牛的牧場－大甲牧場和日光牧場，是欣賞牧場青青草原和曠野風光的好去處。
 
 
由南面的清水循縱貫線公路（台一號省道）欲往大甲，在即將抵達大甲之前的番仔寮、外水尾之間，右轉一條「山腳巷（中三○號道路）」，經過鐵路平交道後開始上山，很快即可抵達一座「中華民國農會休閒綜合農牧場」，也就是大甲牧場。
 
由牧場辦公室門口循道路前條一百公尺，再右轉一條石子路上山，約二公里可抵達牧場的青青草原，沿途可眺望大甲的沃野平疇與市區風光。
 
青青草原位於后里台地的山崙上，為遼闊、翠綠的牧草種植區，草原旁的農舍推放著一綑綑的乾草堆，和國外的牧場風光一樣迷人。白天優遊在草原上，可俯瞰后里台地起伏有致的山嶺，及山下聚落的分佈，夜晚則可觀賞滿天熠熠的星光與山下的萬家燈火。
 
另一處「日光牧場」位於鐵砧山 風景區旁，由鐵砧山的「劍井」循公路往鄭成功像、永信運動公園的方向行駛，途中可見右側有一條小叉路，由此右轉並循牧場的指標前往一公里餘，就可抵達牧場。

From Qingshui in the south, follow the highway (Provincial Highway No. 1) to Dajia. Just before arriving at Dajia, between Fanziliao and Waishuiwei, turn right on Shanjiao Lane (Central Road No. 30). ”, after passing the railway level crossing, start going up the mountain, and soon you will arrive at the “Republic of China Farmers Association Leisure Comprehensive Farm and Ranch”, which is the Dajia Ranch.

From the entrance of the ranch office, follow the road for 100 meters, then turn right on a gravel road up the mountain. About two kilometers away, you can reach the green grassland of the ranch. Along the way, you can overlook the fertile fields and urban scenery of Dajia.

Qingqing Grassland is located on the hills of Houli Terrace. It is a vast and green pasture planting area. The farmhouses next to the grassland push out bundles of haystacks, which is as charming as the scenery of foreign pastures. During the day, you can wander on the grassland and overlook the undulating mountains of Houli Terrace and the distribution of settlements under the mountains. At night, you can enjoy the stars shining in the sky and the lights of thousands of houses below the mountains.

Another "Sunlight Ranch" is located next to the Anvil Mountain Scenic Area. From the "Jianjing" of the Anvil Mountain, follow the highway in the direction of Zheng Chenggong Statue and Yongxin Sports Park. On the way, you can see a small fork on the right side. Turn right and follow the signs for the ranch for more than a kilometer to reach the ranch.
