相約螃蟹之家Meet at Crab House

匠師的故鄉擁有西濱最大的礫石灘，礫石灘是螃蟹生長的最佳場域，因此，長期都有許多螃蟹可供學校機關團體戶外教學。
Masters’ Hometown Recreational Agricultural Area has the largest gravel beach in the west coast. The gravel beach is the best place for crabs to grow. Therefore, there are many crabs here for schools and institutions to conduct outdoor teaching.

堤防外沙灘上，有爬行速度很快的沙蟹、股窗蟹、及善於潛沙的和尚蟹。礫石灘上有體形扁平的平背蜞、倒著走的岩瓷蟹、躲藏高手的擬相手蟹、近方蟹。
On the beach outside the embankment, there are fast-crawling sand crabs, crotch crabs, and monk crabs that are good at diving in the sand. On the gravel beach, there are flat-backed crabs with flat bodies, rock porcelain crabs that walk backwards, simian hand crabs that are good at hiding, and near crabs.
園區沿岸有上天恩賜特有海岸貝類-「赤嘴仔」（海瓜子蛤），有奇特的體型及保護色。在潮池內色彩鮮豔的花身雞魚，及各種貝類，如藤壺、寄居蟹、牡蠣、笠螺、鐘螺…等。
Along the coast of the park, there is a unique coastal shellfish gifted by God - "Red-mouthed Clam" (sea melon seed clam), which has a unique shape and protective color. In the tide pools there are brightly colored fish, as well as various shellfish, such as barnacles, hermit crabs, oysters, snails, bell snails, etc.

弧邊招潮蟹 Bowed fiddler crab
外號提琴手蟹、網紋招潮蟹。喜歡棲息在較為泥濘的沼澤，多位於紅樹林附近，會築火山形或稱煙囪狀的洞口，喜歡隱密，揮動大螯的動作緩慢，一有風吹草動會快速地奔回洞穴內躲藏。喜歡吃泥土中的有機質。也喜歡和鄰居玩換房子遊戲，如果鄰居不換，就用搶的。
Nicknamed Fiddler Crab and Reticulated Fiddler Crab. It likes to live in muddy swamps, mostly near mangroves. It will build volcano-shaped or chimney-shaped cave entrances. It likes to be secretive. It swings its large claws slowly and will quickly rush back to hide in the cave when there is any disturbance. Likes to eat organic matter in the soil. It also likes to play house-swapping games with its neighbors.

台灣厚蟹 estuarine crabs
外號青蟹、三齒葦原蟹。甲殼，大螯寬厚而得名。身體的甲殼、步腳、螯腳皆為灰綠色澤，背甲前緣的兩側具明顯的三裂齒。喜歡挖洞在紅樹林附近的泥灘、草澤中。經常捕食萬歲大眼蟹。漲潮時會爬到紅樹林枝葉、石頭、堤岸上棲息。
Nicknamed blue crab and three-toothed reed crab. The carapace and large claws are generous and named after them. The carapace, legs, and claws of the body are all gray-green in color, and there are obvious three-lobed teeth on both sides of the front edge of the carapace. It likes to dig holes in mudflats and grasslands near mangroves. Often prey on big-eye crabs. When the tide is high, they will crawl to the mangrove branches, leaves, rocks, and banks to inhabit.

清白招潮蟹 Milky fiddler crab
外號白扇招潮蟹、夯白扇。全身以白色為主，背甲顏色會隨著環境改變。洞口邊常會有覓食後遺留的粒狀擬糞。揮螯的動作頻繁，不怕人。只要你稍有耐性等上幾分鐘，牠們就會爬出洞口在你的腳邊覓食活動喔！
Nicknamed White Fan Fiddler Crab and Ram White Fan. The whole body is mainly white, and the color of the carapace will change with the environment. There are often granular pseudo-dung left behind after foraging near the cave entrance. It swings its pincers frequently and is not afraid of people. As long as you wait patiently for a few minutes, they will crawl out of the hole and look for food at your feet!

隆脊張口蟹 Mud-flat crab
頭胸甲接近圓形，背甲表面密生絨毛，有明顯的酒精燈形紋路。有的個體全身呈鮮豔的紫色，關節處及背甲邊緣為紅色；有些偏黃。居住在河口附近的草澤附近、田埂間、紅樹林沼澤及土堤旁。會拿木麻黃的葉子來剔牙。
The cephalothorax is nearly round, and the surface of the carapace is densely covered with villi and has obvious alcohol lamp-shaped patterns. Some individuals are bright purple all over, with red joints and carapace edges; some are yellowish. They live near marshes near river mouths, between fields, mangrove swamps and earth embankments. It uses Casuarina leaves to pick its teeth.

神妙擬相手蟹 Japanese shore crab
背甲光滑，眼窩外齒呈銳角三角形指向前方。螯紅棕色。喜歡在高潮線附近石塊下或垃圾堆積物間躲藏。
The carapace is smooth, and the outer teeth of the eye sockets are in the shape of an acute triangle pointing forward. Chelices reddish brown. It likes to hide under rocks or among garbage piles near the high tide line.
